Modelling

A mould of plaster cast is made on the body of the model. The process takes about half an hour.

  • Material: plaster with several finishing layers
  • Weight: about 15 kg (depends of seize)
  • Colour: white, other colours possible
  • Size: 'half' (neck to belly) of 'full' (neck to legs)

    What people said:

    • I love looking at the images on your page...bodycasting/lifecasting really fascinates me...
    • It was a real pleasure to encounter your web site, unlike most work on the internet, you have created fine finished art.
    • Thanks for putting up a great website, and for doing such nice lifecasting.
    • Just a brief note to express how much I enjoy your work.
    • Enjoyed your site! Very cool images!
    • I have been interested in lifecasting for sometime and i have been delighted in our site which is so well done.
    • I have been trying to do what you are doing, and am blown away by the exeptional quality you achieve.
    • i haven't seen anyones body castings 'til yours that i felt were so professional.
    • Wow! An impressive collection of artwork! I have always been intrigued by the artform of casting from live models, the immediacy of the model being present is much more enhanced than from a normal statue/sculpture and a lifecasting is quite more sensual!
Have you done any full body works (that is the complete figure of the model, head to toe) to create a complete statue replica of the model? ala George Segal, or Duane Hanson? That's one of the things which is so eerie, yet so intriguing about lifecasting...the person is literally duplicated!
I have promised myself that one day (some day!) I would learn the art of lifecasting, in the meantime I'll content myself with your page!
